How The Insurance Process Works

Step 1: Contact Your Insurer

To notify them of your claim., They will give you a claim number. Write down the number and keep it somewhere safe. Sometimes you will get more than one claim number. We only need the house claim number.

Step 2: Loss Adjuster Visit

When you make a claim, someone called a loss adjuster will come to check it out. It may take some time if they are busy.

Then the adjuster will write a report about your claim for the insurer.

Step 3: Scope of work sent out

The scope of work is sent out to up to 3 accredited reinstatement builders depending on the size of the job and how busy the industry is.

Depending on the scope of work the builder may be required to come to the site.

Step 4: The builder will quote the job

The accredited reinstatement builders will quote the job and timeframes to the loss adjuster who will then assign a builder.

Step 5: The building process starts

The work will start and follow the scope of work. We then deal with you directly as the homeowner from this point on along with the insurance company.
